Notifications
Stay on top of what’s happening in your estates. Notifications alert you when teammates make changes, tasks are assigned, or something needs your attention.
Why Notifications Matter
Section titled “Why Notifications Matter”In a multi-user environment, things change constantly. Notifications keep you informed without having to constantly check if something new happened:
- Your teammate uploaded new floor plans
- An asset was moved or deleted
- A proposal needs your approval
- Someone is waiting for your input
Accessing Notifications
Section titled “Accessing Notifications”Click the bell icon in the top-right corner to open your notification panel.

Notification Types
Section titled “Notification Types”Notifications are grouped by what triggered them:
Estate & Site Changes
Section titled “Estate & Site Changes”- Member joined - Someone was added to your estate team
- Site created - A new site was added to an estate
- Floor plan uploaded - New floor plans ready to view
- Building or level changed - Structural updates to your site
Asset Changes
Section titled “Asset Changes”- Asset created - New equipment added to a floor plan
- Asset moved - Asset location changed
- Asset deleted - Equipment removed
- Bulk changes - Multiple assets modified at once
Tasks & Approvals
Section titled “Tasks & Approvals”- Task assigned - Work assigned to you
- Proposal waiting - Document needs your review or approval
- Comment or mention - Someone mentioned you
System Alerts
Section titled “System Alerts”- Permission changed - Your access to an estate was modified
- Sync conflict - Changes couldn’t be synced (offline issue)
- Storage warning - You’re approaching storage limits
Notification Inbox
Section titled “Notification Inbox”All Notifications
Section titled “All Notifications”Click the All Notifications tab to see everything:
- Recent first - Newest notifications appear at the top
- Click to see details - Tap a notification to learn more
- Mark as read - Manually mark notifications as read (optional)
Unread Notifications
Section titled “Unread Notifications”Click the Unread tab to focus only on new items:
- Unread count - Shows how many you haven’t seen yet
- Auto-marked - Notifications are marked read when you view details
- Clear quickly - Catch up without distraction
Understanding Notification Details
Section titled “Understanding Notification Details”When you click a notification, you’ll see:
- What changed - The specific action that happened
- Who did it - Which team member
- When it happened - Date and time
- Where it is - Which estate, site, or asset was affected
- Action button - Often a link to navigate there directly
Common Scenarios
Section titled “Common Scenarios””Asset was moved”
Section titled “”Asset was moved””You’ll see:
- Which asset was moved
- From where it was
- To where it is now
- Who moved it and when
Click the notification to jump to that floor plan and see the asset.
”Floor plan uploaded”
Section titled “”Floor plan uploaded””You’ll see:
- Which site and building
- Floor name
- Who uploaded it
Click to navigate to that floor plan immediately.
”Member joined estate”
Section titled “”Member joined estate””You’ll see:
- The new member’s name
- What role they have
- The estate they joined
This helps you know who to coordinate with.
Managing Notifications
Section titled “Managing Notifications”Staying Current
Section titled “Staying Current”- Check regularly - Notifications are live as they happen
- Don’t ignore for long - Old notifications can pile up
- Use the unread tab - Focus on what you haven’t seen yet
If You’re Overwhelmed
Section titled “If You’re Overwhelmed”If you’re getting too many notifications:
- Check if you have the right estate scope - Are you watching all estates you don’t need to?
- Ask your admin about notification preferences - Some organizations can adjust notification volume
- Use the Unread tab to stay focused
Notification Persistence
Section titled “Notification Persistence”- Stored for 30 days - Notifications are kept but may be archived after 30 days
- Search available - Use the search in the notifications panel to find something specific
- No deletion - Notifications are kept for audit purposes
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”I’m not seeing notifications
Section titled “I’m not seeing notifications”Check:
- Do you have the right permissions for the estate?
- Are you a member of the team that’s making changes?
- Has more than a second passed since the change? (They appear in real-time)
Notifications seem delayed
Section titled “Notifications seem delayed”In rare cases:
- Internet connection issues
- Sync conflicts in offline mode
Refreshing the page will catch you up.
Too many notifications
Section titled “Too many notifications”This might mean:
- Multiple people working on the same estate
- Someone bulk-uploaded many assets
- You have access to many estates
All normal - the unread tab helps you prioritize.
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”- Check daily - Keep on top of changes rather than checking weekly
- Use the unread tab - Focus on new items first
- Act on assignments - When you get a task notification, try to handle it promptly
- Coordinate with teammates - Use notifications as a conversation starter
